You are confused; but this is your normal state.

OpenBSD: Secure by default, and with excellent documentation. I had originally avoided OpenBSD, yet been piqued with curiosity about it since I first got into the whole "alternative operating systems (read: non-microsoft) phase of my life. I had avoided it passionately as I had heard nothing but how hard it is to configure and that even the install is too hard for most people. After screwing around with FreeBSD for as long as I had, I had a spare machine and figured I'd toss OpenBSD on it to see what it's like. The installation was far far faster than any Linux distribution I've ever used, as well as all the variants of FreeBSD that I've used. So much for being confusing!

The stuff in this section is less for others on the web and more for me just to remember how I did things (personal notes and such), but you are more than welcome to try to make sense of what I've done and why/how I do it. openbsd
